53 Churches, Mosques and Hotels shut down in Lagos

The Lagos state government in a bid to make the environs conducive for inhabitants has shut down 53 churches, mosques and hotels.

They were shut down because these bodies have failed to meet up with basic conditions of being part of an environment. These of which the Lagos state government identified as noise pollution and other environmental offences.

The general manager of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) Adebola Shabi confirmed that the agency has continued to receive petitions from the bodies involved but insists that Lagos state government remains indifferent to its decision.
