The court of appeal sitting in Abuja has rejected the appeal of Senate President Bukola Saraki. The appeal disputed his trial by the Code of Conduct Tribunal with five claimed points. The court however ruled against the Senate President’s appeal on the basis that the appeal lacks merit.
This means that the code of conduct tribunal will still go ahead in charging Senator Bukola Saraki on the thirteen count charge leveled against him. The charge borders on false declaration of assets, corruption etc. The senate President will appear before the code of conduct tribunal on the 5th of November 2015.
